Garden of Light Praying Room

Napa, California

In April 2019, I worked on this project for a praying room located at a Muslim cemetery in Napa, California. This cemetery and praying room was built and is maintained by the International Association of Sufism. This serene space was such a blessing to work on, alhumdulillah.

Text Translation

The text we chose for this space is the 112th chapter of the Quran, Surah Ikhlas. “Say: He, Allah, who is One. Allah, the Eternal Refuge. He neither begets nor is born. Nor is there to Him any equivalent.”

قُلْ هُوَ اللَّهُ أَحَدٌ - 112:1

اللَّهُ الصَّمَدُ - 112:2

لَمْ يَلِدْ وَلَمْ يُولَدْ - 112:3

وَلَمْ يَكُن لَّهُ كُفُوًا أَحَدٌ - 112:4
